On October 9th students from La Center High School got to participate in the annual Construction & Trades Fair hosted by Kelso High School and Cowlitz County PUD. Students ran all types of equipment from excavators to backhoes to log loaders; they even got to operate police cars, fire trucks & fire hoses! Some students showed off their welding skills by soldering copper pipes, running jackhammers, going up in the high lift and being able to try on some of the attire that firefighters wear. It was a great time for all to be able to have this experience! Students that attended were: Nick Mikos, Shasta Marxmiller, Jaedon Brade, Lindsey Story, Savannah Lowthrey, Megan Reader, Abby Kapp, Justin Surdam, Alex Muonio, Devin Ritter, Tarren Kuoppala, Kourtney Eddington and Hayden Larkin. Below are some pictures from the morning spent there.
