Clark County Solar Car Challenge

“Saturday, March 10^th  a team of La Center Middle School students participated in the Clark County Solar Car Challenge.  Student teams of  6-8^th graders engineered solar cars and competed against 36 other teams from various middle schools.  Their coach, Kristy Schneider, reports that all the students worked with determination and perseverance throughout the day while racing their cars and discussing their project with local professionals to earn points.  One student, Jarom Rader, won 1^st place in the solar car racing and 3^rd in the overall competition.”
