Welcome back! If you weren’t able to pick up your benefits packet at the welcome breakfast, it will be delivered to you via inner district mail. Please remember to complete and return the blue Medical Election/Waiver form to me as soon as possible.
Current Benefits Update
- Our current benefits plan ends on December 31, 2019.
- VEBA contributions end with your November paycheck (with the exception of sick leave cashouts).
- Your November paycheck premium deductions will pay for your current benefits through December 31, 2019.
- Your December paycheck premium deductions will pay for your SEBB benefits coverage beginning January 1, 2020.
- Limited Open Enrollment (September 10th-19th) is available for employees needing to enroll or make changes to their existing coverage.
- Keep in mind that any changes you make are only valid through December 31, 2019.
SEBB Update
- Open enrollment is October 1 – November 15
- The SEBB Fact Sheet is a great resource for basic information on your new benefits, eligibility, and enrollment.
SEBB Approves Dental Providers: DeltaCare, Willamette, and Uniform Medical Plan have been approved by the SEB Board as the dental care providers effective January 1, 2020.
- Eligible employees are required to enroll in one of the approved dental plans.
- If you do not enroll in a plan, you will default into a plan pre-selected by SEBB.
- Eligible employees may not waive coverage.
- 100% of the dental premiums are covered by the District.
- Please follow the links provided above or visit the SEBB Dental Plan page to learn more about plan details including deductibles, cost shares, and covered services.
- Employees who are currently undergoing a dental treatment plan or with enrolled dependents currently undergoing treatment (such as orthodontics) should contact their dentist’s office regarding the transition to SEBB as soon as possible.
SEBB Approves Vision Plan Providers – Davis Vision, EyeMed, and MetLife have been approved by the SEB Board as the vision care providers effective January 1, 2020.
- Plan details will be announced prior to the start of open enrollment on October 1st.
- Eligible employees are required to enroll in one of the approved vision plans.
- If you do not enroll in a plan, you will default into a plan pre-selected by SEBB.
- Eligible employees may not waive coverage.
- 100% of the vision premiums are covered by the District.

SEBB Medical plan options are currently in development and will be released prior to the start of open enrollment on October 1st.
