Wondering about what you will do for health insurance when you retire from the district?

State law provides that employees who are enrolled in basic benefits from a Washington state school district, Educational Service District (ESD’s) or Charter School may be eligible to enroll or defer enrollment in PEBB retiree insurance coverage when their employment ends.

The Department of Retirement Systems (DRS) in partnership with the Health Care Authority (HCA) will be presenting a live webinar focusing on PEBB Retiree Insurance benefits on Tuesday, January 30th at 4:00pm.

The webinar is directed specifically to education employees and will focus on four aspects:

  • What are the eligibility requirements to enroll or defer PEBB retiree insurance?
  • How much are the monthly premiums?
  • What are the procedures/timelines to enroll or defer PEBB retiree insurance?
  • What medical/dental plans are available with PEBB retiree insurance?
